Kevin has gotten a job with Disney . And before you say, "Put on the Goofy head", here's the deal:
Last October, when Kevin was in Chicago at the USENIX Lisa conference, he met some representatives from Disney at a recruiting booth they had in the Exhibitor's Room. They were looking for System Administrators for their new facility in Burbank, California. So Kevin handed them a resume on the spot (good forethought on his part, eh?), one of the only people at the conference to do so. But he never really expected to hear from them.
Well, about three weeks later, they called and asked if they could do a phone interview. Kevin said yes (duh!), and a week after that interview, they flew him down for a series of interviews. About two weeks after those interviews, they called and said that they had decided to go with somebody else. Thanking them, Kevin again thought he would never hear from them.
One week later, they called ad asked if Kevin would be interested in another position. One more phone interview later, Disney called two days before Christmas and told Lynne that they would be offering a job to Kevin after the holidays. After such an emotionally-draining period of time, what with Kevin's Mom and Artoo-Deetoo passing away within a week of each other, it was welcome news.
The official offer came the second week in January, and Kevin accepted. So, come February 10th, 1997, Kevin will no longer wear mouse ears as a tourist. He will be a Systems Administrator, just as he does at Vestek, working to keep all the systems that the animators use up. It is a great chance, and although Kevin agonized over his departure with Vestek and his friends, he realizes that this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Directions: From 680 North, take Highway 242 to the Claytom Road exit, and follow it (quite a ways) though Clayton Old Town. The name of the road changes to Old Marsh Creek after that. The park is about ten minutes from there on your right. The hall will be on the right, just past the swimming pool.
