[12/28/2004] We're back from Taiwan with Emma, read all about it in The Great Emma Adventure!
[08/02/2004] We've started our adoption of Emma!. The roller-coaster has started again! Wheeee!!!
[04/29/2004 Kevin has started his new job as Senior UNIX Systems Administrator with Ask Jeeves, so if you want to know anything now, just ask Jeeves!
[06/02/03] Sadly, our Westie Threepio has passed away. We will miss him dearly.
We've also (finally) updated the The Paden Chronicles with the endof Paden's first year.
[05/02/03] We've posted the latest poem by Lynne (actually written back in 1985), dedicated to our son, Paden, called Teddy Bear.
[03/07/03] Of course, the biggest news is about our adoption of Paden and his arrival back home. We're learning to be parents, which is more like a trial by fire at this stage of the game. But we're having a great time, so much so that we'll probably do it all again in about two years to get a sister for Paden!
[12/02/02] Not much to say, the Adoption has pretty much filled our waking thoughts.
However, Kevin got his name in the credits for Disney's "Treaure Planet"! Woo-HOO!!
This was completely unexpected, since Kevin and Lynne have been gone from The House of Mouse for over a year and a half now. Lynne and Kevin were treated to a special showing of "Treasure Planet" at the Pixar theatre, courtesy of his good friend, Ross Dickinson, who started working there this summer. As the film credits were rolling, Lynne said, "There's your name!". By the time Kevin realized what she was saying, it had already rolled off the screen. But he confirmed that it was true, thanks to his friends still at Disney, bringing his total credits up to five movies. You can check out Kevin's other movies at the Internet Movie Database. His credit for "Treasure Planet" may not be posted on the IMDB yet, but it will be up soon.
Yippee!!!
It was a nice surprise, and a welcome one at that. Kevin and Lynne have been a little stressed from the adoption, specifically the amount of time it is taking, so this was a nice little present.
[10/06/02] Added a lot of stuff to the Adoption Page, and pictures of Paden's Baby Shower.
Also added pictures from The "Harry Potter" Jack o'Lantern that Kevin carved for his 2001 pumpkin.
[09/13/02] There are some more pictures on Page 4 from our adoption of Paden.
[08/25/02] We added an Adoption Page, here's where you can hear (or read) the whole story! Pictures, too!!
[03/28/02] We started the adoption process.
It's a little scary, and there's a LOT to do, but hopefully we'll have another mouth to feed by the end of the year. Wish us luck (and send us gift certificates for "Toys R Us"!).
[03/28/02] Another poem from Lynne, Fast Paced.
[12/19/01] Updated the Links Page, there were a few broken ones....
[12/10/01] Lynne has created another wonderfule poem, State of Bliss.
[10/01/01] We have another new niece! We'll be posting pictures as soon as we actually get some!
[07/10/01] We've updated the UNR Wolf Pack Alumni Band Web page with this year's schedule.
[06/28/01] Okay, we've been lazy.
Okay, we've been really lazy!! Sorry! :-0
A LOT has happened in the last few months. First, Kevin accepted a position with a new company called Wild Brain ( www.wildbrain.com ) in San Francisco. After over four years with Walt Disney Feature Animation, it was time to move on and explore new things. It was very hard for Kevin to leave, as this was probably the best job he's ever had, by his own admission. Lynne, on the other hand, was ready to leave, as her experience with the Mouse was not as spectacular.
Of course, as a result of this new job, it meant packing up the house and the dogs and moving once again. Since now Kevin and Lynne were house owners this time, it also meant selling a house in addition to finding a new place to live (and buy!). But it also meant a return to Kevin's old stomping grounds, the San Francisco Bay Area. As far as Lynne was concerned, any movement out of Los Angeles was a good one.
So after two months of living in temporary quarters in the town of Walnut Creek, Kevin and Lynne found and bought a house in that same town. And about a month after that, their house in Burbank sold (at a modest profit!). Now the "debates" start about where to hang the paintings on the new walls!!
Kevin & Lynne also attended their last film crew party, Disney's "Atlantis". It was a very nostalgic reunion with many people that Kevin and Lynne worked with, and a sad reunion at that. As many people know, Disney is lightening up on the cheese lately, and many feel that there will be a lull in the spirit that prevailed throughout Feature Animation when they were there. But they were there when it was cool to work there, and there's a lot that was accomplished during that time to be proud of.
Threepio passed his sixteenth birthday in June! He's still going strong, and it would be hard to tell he was that old (unless you catch a whiff of his breath! (peeee-yuuuu!!). And Snootles is now four (although she acts that in human years most of the time).
Kevin and Lynn'e friends, Ross and Sheilene, got married over Memorial Day weekend in Las Vegas on the pirate ship at Treasure Island! Everyone was dressed in pirate attire (!), Kevin came as the Dread Pirate Roberts, and Lynne went as a Lady Aristocrat. It was a lot of fun, and we'll post pics as soon as they finish the roll in the camera! It was a lot of fun, but very hot, over 100 degrees!!!
Other than that, nothing else spectacular (as if that isn't enough!).
[09/19/00]Check out Lynne's newest STAR WARS Fan Fiction, GAZE of the ABYSS!
[08/03/00]Wow, sorry there hasn't been an update in quite a while. We've been busy with work and such.
Kevin and Lynne relandscaped their front yard and back yard with the help of Kevin's father and some incredible work from some of the guys from the River Ranch. The house looks great!!
Check out Lynne's latest poem, 40th Birthday, written in honor of Kevin as he passed his 4th decade. Most of that passing was an alcoholic blur as Lynne threw a "Kevin-Gras" (I think that translates to "Fat Kevin") party, complete with hurricanes. Kevin was a sofa slug for most of the day after....
[11/29/99]Lynne has another"Star Wars" Fan Fiction story out, "Nataraja"!
[06/09/99] Lynne & Kevin went to the "Tarzan" Wrap Party this weekend and has a blast!! The party was up in the Malibu hills on an exclusive estate (the driveway was longer than our street!), and even Michael Eisner was there! We will add pix from the party as soon as they come back from the developer.
And Kevin and Lynne also attended the Cast & Crew premier of "Tarzan". and we were right: it is great! We highly recommend that everyone go see it (several times!).
Sorry we haven't updated this in a while. Both Kevin and Lynne have been very busy at work with the Disney's latest animated Feature Film, "Tarzan", due out on June 18th. It promises to be a great film, we both have seen much of the completed work, and it looks great!!!
Please be sure to check out the Official University of Nevada, Reno Wolfpack Marching Band Alumni Web Page. This year's Alumni Band will be meeting on October 31st, and it promises to be more rowdy than last year!
Lynne has posted two new poems, "How Like a Colossus" and "Reihn of the Pale Mistress". Please check them out!
We (finally!) have pictures form the Disney Feature Animation Christmas party of the Feature Animation Christmas Band. Take a lgander, see if you can spot Kevin (it's easy, he's the one behind the drums set!).
